The Eleventh Doctor Revealed!

The BBC confirmed today that it will reveal the identity of the Eleventh Doctor as part of a special edition of Doctor Who Confidential to be aired on BBC ONE tomorrow, Saturday 03 January at 17:35hrs.

Following the announcement in October that David Tennant would be stepping down from his role as the Doctor at the end of 2009*, speculation has been mounting as to who would take over from him for the fifth series of this iconic BBC drama that will air in 2010.
With a new creative team in place for the new series led by Executive Producers Steven Moffat and Piers Wenger, the casting of the new Doctor was job number one to be completed before scripts could be finalised and shooting could begin in summer 2009.
In the Doctor Who special, to be aired tomorrow at 17.35hrs, the actor playing the new Doctor will be giving his or her initial reaction to being the new, eleventh incarnation of one of television's most loved characters.
Head Of Drama BBC Wales Piers Wenger said, "We are so pleased to have been able to cast this person as the new Doctor. We believe the actor is going to bring something very special to the role and will make it absolutely their own - I just can't wait to tell everyone who it is - it has been a nail biting Christmas trying to keep this under wraps!".
* There will be four Doctor Who Specials featuring David Tennant that will run in 2009 into New Year 2010 (dates tbc).
The Doctor Who Confidential programme will also be broadcast live on the BBC's Big Screens nationwide.

The NTA Awards Announced that David Tennant IS leaving Doctor Who at the end of 2009, it has been announced. But he's not giving up ownership of the Tardis just yet as he'll be back at Christmas, and will be filming four more special episodes in January. David Tennant said: "I've had the most brilliant, bewildering and life changing time working on Doctor Who. I have loved every day of it." He made the announcement after winning the outstanding drama performance prize at the National Television Awards.

The BBC Press Office have confirmed that the 2008 Christmas Special will be called The Next Doctor. The Special stars David Morrissey alongside David Tennant and will be set in the past. The Cybermen will also appear in the episode to cause trouble.

The scene ,including some Cybermen, would have lead into this year's Christmas special but was deleted after it was deemed unsuitable by the Production team.

Doctor Who Cardiff Exhibition Makeover.

The popular Doctor Who exhibition in Cardiff Bay is set to go under a revamp. The Exhibition opened back in 2005 due to the popular success of Series one and hasn’t been refurbished since. The Location is set to have a mini zone dedicated to the Daleks including a model of the Supreme Dalek from the Fourth series. It is unknown when the refurbishment will finish but you can read the article here.

According to the official Torchwood magazine, during this year's Children in Need, which airs on November 14th, a special Doctor Who/ Torchwood crossover will be shown. Not many details have been revealed yet, it hasn't even been confirmed. However, Russell T Davies has said that Doctor Who would have some presence at CIN

.In other news, it is rumoured that Paul McGann (the 8th Doctor) will return in one of the 2009 specials in a flashback of the Time War. This news comes from The Sun, so I wouldn't treat it as the truth just yet...

The Sun claim that Catherine Tate will come back has her role as Donna Noble in the fourthcoming episodes. A source for the controversial newspaper said, "Fans will be delighted to see Catherine back. She was one of the wackiest companions of all time." It has also been claimed that Bernard Cribbins will return as Donna's grandfather, Wilf.

Instead of just Donna Returning, John Simm will be returning to reprise his role as the Master in the forthcoming 2009 specials. Another source said, "It's great to have John back, he and David Tennant have a real nemesis chemistry."

Also, the paper claimed that David Tennant has signed up for the full 2010 series. That Really Cool.

The cover for the 399th issue of Doctor Who Magazine has now been revealed by Panini Magazines and can be seen above. The Doctor and Donna are on the front cover and in this month's issue there will be an exclusive interview with Catherine Tate. The magazine will go on sale tomorrow at the price of £3.99 and the press release for the issue will be posted as soon as it becomes available. Doctor Who Series Four Companion:

Last Week we first saw the publication of Doctor Who Magazine's in-depth special looking back over the latest season of adventures.

At 148 pages, The Doctor Who Companion - Series Four is the biggest DWM special so far, and gives readers a step-by-step guide to the making of all 13 episodes as well as the 2007 Christmas special Voyage of the Damned and the Children In Need scene featuring the Fifth Doctor, Time Crash.

Character Options have now released an image of the upcoming plush Adipose toy. The Adipose appeared in Partners in Crime, the first episode of Doctor Who series four, and according to Argos the toy will be released sometime next month. It's the first in the line of Doctor Who plush toys and will go on sale at the price of £9.99. Will you be buying the plush Adipose?

Doctor Who Pocket Diary 2009:

Danilo have now revealed the cover and released information regarding the upcoming Doctor Who 2009 pocket diary. Designed with images of Doctor Who on each page, this diary is the perfect place for Doctor Who fans to note down any essential information. Here is what Danilo have to say about the product.

Dr Who has come of age, enjoying a huge resurgence, this diary will include pictures of David Tennant and other cast members. So put your key dates for 2009 in your exclusive Dr Who 2009 diary.

Expected for release on the twenty second of September, this calendar will be joined on the shelves by the Torchwood 2009 calendar. Doctor Who DVD Files:

GE Fabbri, the publishers of Doctor Who Battles in Time, have announced that they have plans to release a second Doctor Who magazine. The magazine is currently titled "Doctor Who DVD Files" and the idea is that every issue will come with a DVD containing two episodes of Doctor Who. Apparently the magazine itself will feature character profiles, previously unseen artwork and interviews with some of the stars of the show. The first issue will go on sale at the price of £1.99 and the magazine will be published every fortnight. £6.99 will be the normal price of the magazine and the draft cover for the first issue can be seen above however at the moment the image is only available in black and white. The project is at a very early stage and before it goes widely on sale it will be tested somewhere in the United Kingdom to see how popular it is. It is not known when or where it will be tested yet.

Well i have some bad news about John-Smith, Its about my Online Magazine, Doc-tormag. Were at the stage of Issue 13, but i havent got that far in it. And it needs to be out on 20/08/08 otherwise there is a delay and i dont want it to happen so this site will have to be closed until its finished. I am very sorry to point this out to you, It will be closed on 15/08/08 but i will try very hard to get some news on it. Well ill see you when its finished. Ayrton xx

Supreme Dalek Toy

Character Options have now released an image of the five inch radio controlled Supreme Dalek in it's packaging, the image can be seen above. The remote controlled Dalek will feature motorised Dalek movement, flashing ear lights sychronized with speech, Supreme Dalek speech and sound effects and a posable exterminator gun, arm and eye stalk. The Sarah Jane Adventures Season 1 Boxset!

After a long wait for fans of The Sarah Jane Adventures, it’s now official that the first series of the show will be released on DVD later this year. The complete series will be released as a box set in the United Kingdom on the 10th November and will be released a month earlier, on the 7th October, in America at an RRP of $49.99. The cover for the United Kingdom’s box set is yet to be revealed but the cover for the American box set can be seen above. More news will be posted about the box set when it becomes available. Will you be buying The Sarah Jane Adventures series one on DVD when it's released later this year?

A brand new trailer for the second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures was shown on BBC One tonight.

The teaser premiered at the end of the repeat of the Doctor Who Series 4 finale, Journey's End, and features clips of the Sontarans, the Graske and a rather freaky looking clown...

The second series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, featuring 12 episodes, will air on BBC One later in the year.

Also soon ill be making some spin-off pages next week!

InterWho's finale weekend starts here, and as normal we were listening to the radio when the news presenter said something about tomorrows finale!

Today i went to Doncaster to the Lakeside Village to go to the Doctor Who Day. We saw loads of doctor who characters,we saw Pig Slaves,Ood's,Scarcrows,Old Cybermen a Robot Santa and more! Here is a picture of the Empty Child:

I also saw a proper bbc heads of Davros,Banakafalatta,Old Cybermen and Leader,An Ood,A Sykorax,Scarecrows and a green thingy!
